Good evening. This is Ikeda.

I think I've written something similar before, but it's already the last day of January.
Time really passes too quickly.
The time from opening preparations to closing time passes by at an alarming rate.
It's especially fast when I'm writing ``Story -diary-''.
I wish time would pass a little more slowly.

While I'm saying this, it's going to be a fun month starting in February where I'll be going to each brand's exhibition every week.
It's a lot of fun thinking about orders, but I feel like I have to be careful that the selection criteria may change.
If I don't always maintain the perspective of selecting only what I think is good, it doesn't matter who is doing it or where.
It is a warning to myself to never forget my original intentions and maintain my principles, thoughts, and feelings.

Today, I would like to introduce satou's noragi hooded coat, which I cautioned myself to maintain in various ways.
First of all, "pressed flowers" has been set as the theme of Satou's 23SS.
I've spent my life completely unrelated to "pressed flowers," but when I imagine that my grandparents and parents did it more often, I think it's a satou-like theme. I was just thinking about it.
By the way, ``pressed flowers'' are said to have originated around the 16th century, and were originally done by biologists to preserve them as specimens.
That was trivia.

I'll talk about the pressed flowers later, but the niragi hooded coat is based on the Swedish military's snow parka.
I had a second-hand item as well, but I remember being overdyed and hanging it next to a window for a few days, and I was saddened by how badly it faded.
Aside from that, the design is based on the image of rain gutters for agricultural work.
Isn't satou's unique idea of combining military and agricultural work?

The most eye-catching feature is the ``pressed flower'' chain embroidery on the left chest.
Since it is a fairly large pressed flower, it may seem to make a strong statement, but since it is embroidered on the same fabric with white thread, I think it blends in well and softens the statement.
You can feel the handmade atmosphere and gentle atmosphere that is unique to chain embroidery.

The fabric used is the original hemp leaf pattern quilt from 22SS.
The 23AW was also a hemp leaf quilt, but here the outer material is 100% linen, giving it a completely different look.
In addition, the lining is made of 100% cotton unbleached fabric.

I think it can be said that satou is a standard, but the front uses lacquered wood buttons called ``Shunkei-nuri'' from Hida Takayama.
This indescribably chubby shape gives it a nice flavor.

It has a loose silhouette typical of a snow parka, so even though the material is thin, I think it can be worn even when it's still cold depending on the layering.
Personally, I find thin outerwear with a loose silhouette very useful as it can be worn for a long period of time.

The pressed flowers are eye-catching, but the string belts on the hood, waist, and sleeves are also impressive.
Since you can narrow down your choices, it can be fun to find a silhouette that suits you.
Also, the large hood features satou's signature hand stitching, so don't miss this as well.

Available in kinari colors.
It's neither white nor beige, but has a gentle color that goes well with any item.
In fact, there was a color that was dyed with binchotan charcoal, but due to production cuts, it was no longer available.
I'm sorry, but I can't help it.

It might be a good idea to wear the noragi hooded coat and carry in your heart the ``pressed flowers'' that were originally preserved as specimens, and the spirit of never forgetting your original intentions and maintaining your policies, ideas, and feelings.
Whether you have something you want to keep or something you need to change, try the noragi hooded coat, which carries pressed flowers to your heart.
