The design is based on the Swedish military's M-59, and is inspired by the coat my grandfather wore when he went on a trip.

The outer material uses a high-density yet supple fabric woven in Bishu, and the lining uses an original batting quilt fabric with a hemp leaf pattern that has been updated from the previous model.

The buttons on the front are lacquered wood buttons from Hida Takayama called "Shunkei-nuri."
The waist belt uses Kongo-uchi braided cord, which is used in farming and construction sites, and has a narrow finish to create an accent.
