breath
Good evening. This is Ikeda.
Last week was the last exhibition.
I think I went to exhibitions almost every week for about three months.
In addition to the brands we currently carry, we have also visited some new brands, and we are already looking forward to the 23rd AW.
We will inform you about the brands that will be available from 23AW when the season is about to start, so please look forward to it.
However, I'm trying to suppress my excitement and enjoy the 23rd SS to the fullest for now.
Just when I thought I could finally take a breather after rushing around to exhibitions, Golden Week arrived.
Rather than taking a breather, it's more like taking another breath.
Having said that, there is no doubt that it will be a leisurely business even during Golden Week.
On the 7th, the last day of Golden Week, I will be going to dreamland to honor my nephew and niece, so please don't look for me.
The next day, the 8th, will be by appointment only, so if you are interested, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.
Maybe something has arrived from dreamland.
I don't know though.
I'm about to say that even dreamland isn't a place where you can take a breather, but today I'd like to introduce satou's engawa skipper shirt.
This is a piece that makes you want to take a breather.
The image source for this item is a scene of someone taking a break while drinking barley tea on the veranda after working in the field.
It's a somewhat heartwarming scene that you can imagine just by looking at the words.
Personally, I felt that the fact that it was barley tea rather than green tea was somehow better.
There's no particular reason.
The heartwarming image source is a floral pattern that is consistent with this season's theme of "pressed flowers."
This floral pattern is made using a dyeing method called manganese kasuri.
Currently, manganese kasuri dyeing can only be made by one company in Niigata.
After doing some research, I found that the color of manganese kasuri changes depending on the temperature of the day.
In today's world where efficiency is demanded, such delicate technology may be called inefficient.
If demand declines and technology declines, it means that the country's assets will decrease, so we just hope that they don't disappear.
Incorporating traditional techniques like this is typical of Satou, and you can feel the spirit of Satou.
Do you get the impression that such a floral pattern is abstract, as if it was drawn with a single stroke?
At the same time, I felt that it gave off a Japanese atmosphere.
It should be easier to incorporate the atmosphere, which you wouldn't know unless it was called a floral pattern.
Another feature is the large buttons.
Not only is it large, but it also has a classic feel.
By the way, the buttonholes are diagonal, typical of Satou.
The fabric used with the manganese kasuri mentioned above is 100% linen.
It goes without saying that it is 100% linen, but it has a very light finish.
I think you will feel like you want to wear this in the summer.
It has a roomy box silhouette that may give you the feeling of being wrapped in air.
The linen texture gives it a relaxing feel.
The hem is different in the front and back, and there are slits in the sides.
The off color was sold out before we introduced it, so the only color available is black.
Unlike single-colored items, the pattern is just right so it doesn't feel dark, and I don't think it feels heavy.
I guess it's somewhere between aloha and monochromatic simplicity.
It's only available in black, but it would be very helpful if you could give me a positive interpretation so that I won't get confused.
When I was thinking about taking a break with a cigarette after I finished writing this, I fantasized that this Skipper looked good with a cigarette.
Whether you drink barley tea, green tea, oolong tea, coffee, black tea, or juice when you want to take a break, satou's engawa skipper shirt is perfect for anyone who wants to take a break.
